Micro Steps Projects Makhosazana has recently returned from two months in Swaziland distributing school supplies to under-served preschools and setting up new projects. You can see her report here. Obama Urban Policy A web site has been created to make suggestions to President Obama about priorities for urban areas. We have submitted a suggestion to create a university franchise system to stimulate interest in post-secondary education that would provide low cost, high quality education in some of the places that need it the most. Next Book at Advanced Stage The next book is now in the edit stage. Originally titled Story Centric Education and Counseling it now has a working title of Story Processing: A Handbook for the Intensification of Education and Healing Through Short Stories. The book encourages the use of short stories at all educational levels and in all disciplines. It also advocates the use of stories for various forms of psychotherapy and healing. The book is divided into two main sections. The first of these sections explains why stories work well in education and healing. The second section contains tables that list questions and other activities for use with stories from Still Reflections: Stories of the Heart and In the Glow of Understanding. Our target release date is September 1, 2009. Yen 9 Yen 9 has continued to grow incrementally. Beyond being a low cost web host we have added other services to make it even easier for people to have a web presence. We have added a "CV / Resume Service" and a "Life Book Service." The resume service allows an individual to send a Word document by email and have Yen 9 create and host your resume on-line. In a similar manner the "life book" service allows someone to create a single Word file that documents their life story or the story of someone they love or respect and have Yen 9 turn that document into a web site.
